Mechanics

  • Sail in company — a river convoy that thins pirate odds and halves their take, at the cost of a day per leg.
  • Counterfeit-money con — a lower-river Special that skims the purse.
  • Colbert's ferry — a hard pace reaches the Duck River crossing after dark and loses a day waiting for daylight.
  • Cave-in-Rock — a new river set-piece at Cairo: take the stranger's pilot offer (a cargo-value-driven trap into the pirate quick-draw), hire your own pilot, or run the shoals.
  • Mason through-line — tangling with his gang at the cave (crossed_mason) gates a wanted-poster payoff on the Trace.

Shared crate

trail-kit gains a BanterGate::Marked gate, a caveinrock menu field, and ferry late-arrival fields (all additive / serde(default)).

Tests

Golden trace re-pinned (intentional, documented); new engine tests cover the convoy take/no-leak, counterfeit, ferry late-arrival, and the cave cargo-value trap. Full workspace builds; cargo test -p kaintuck green (41 passing).

Versions bumped: kaintuck 0.1.8 → 0.1.10, trail-kit 0.1.5 → 0.1.6.
